Modern parenting is full of joys, but it also comes with challenges—worry, overwhelming advice, and countless products promising quick fixes. For us, the hardest question was: how do we navigate technology for our kids?
Before dreaming up Little Magic Stories, Neil and I often talked about what “healthy technology” should look like. With my background as a technology marketer and author, and Neil’s lifelong love of video games and decades’ of experience building technology and marketing companies, we dug deep:
Is this app too addictive? Does it balance fun and learning? How much screen time is too much? How can tech inspire our kids instead of distracting them?
We realized other parents shared our concerns. Conversations with Neil’s childhood best friend, Kent, a product designer focused on human-centered tech, and Neil’s brother, Jay, a lifelong advocate for mindful tech use, turned our questions into answers. If we couldn’t find the right tools for our kids, why not build them?
Little Magic Stories was born from a belief that technology can unlock a child’s imagination when used safely and healthily. Our storytelling app gives kids a space to tell stories, play, grow, and dream—all through personalized, interactive storytelling.
This is just the beginning. We’re committed to creating more ways to make screen time meaningful, inspiring, and fun for kids everywhere.
We’re thrilled to have you join us on this journey.
Sincerely,
Lauren, Neil, Kent and Jay
